In my forest there are only two live Eastern Hemlock trees of a decent size. When I first encountered them, they were infested by white fluffy specks of woolly adelgid, and very sparse looking. In 2022 and 2023, I sprayed the base of each tree with safari and imidacloprid insecticides, and since then I haven't seen a single adelgid on them. The first Eastern Hemlock straddles the border between Lots B and C, right next to the stream. Circumference at chest-height is 3ft 8.25".
The second one is in the NE corner of Lot C, bordering the old logging road, circumference at chest height 4ft 7.5".
This tree looks sparse from the side (picture from spring 2023) but very healthy from above by drone (October 2023).
