This is a small, fairly rare tree in my forest, hard to notice amongst the larger species. The bark is fairly smooth and the leaves symmetrical and toothed. The two pictures below are of a Serviceberry tree growing in the acidic cove bowl of Lot A.
The next two pictures below are of a specimen that leans towards the old logging road on the eastern edge of Lot C.
Another specimen grows on the northern ridge of Lot B. Circumference at chest-height is 1ft 9".
During my late winter visit in 2024, I discovered two much larger Serviceberry trees. This first one grows on the north facing slope just above the southern stream in Lot B. Trunk circumference at chest-height is 2ft 10".
The other one grows on a very steep part of the same slope, further east towards the border. Unlike the other one which had only a few flowers, this one was in full bloom. Due to the steepness of the terrain I was not able to measure the circumference.
